Bombard’s low-voltage division completed installation of a cutting-edge system supporting the Internet of Things (IoT) at a prominent hotel tower on The Strip. IoT describes the growing number of physical objects that connect to other devices and exchange data over the internet.

The infrastructure offers unlimited bandwidth capability, providing 8K IP television, direct unlimited Wi-Fi bandwidth, building management over IP and a host of other IoT functions, including gaming.

IoT allows the property owner to automate lighting and thermostats based on conditions in each hotel room, saving money and conserving energy. IoT alerts the front desk of any issues with a room prior to check in, avoiding room reassignments and other disruptions.

A single pair of single-mode fiber to each guest room provides a better guest experience. The infrastructure allows guests to:

• Check in and unlock their rooms via mobile phone.
• Set lighting and temperature through an app on their device.
• Make dinner reservations by voice request through the television.
